About Us

What is ICPF?

THE BEGINNINGS:

In the late 80’s and 90’s the graduates/Seniors who were part of the initial ICPF movement that started in the College Campuses of India in the early 80’s, started migrating to the US. Parents and Ministers of the Gospel who loved the Godly work among campus students in India felt a burden for the ministry and in turn wanted to support the ministry that they benefitted from in prayers and finances. With that purpose, prayer groups were started in different parts of the country, gathering once a month to pray fervently and contribute generously for the cause. This prayer group resulted in the formation of ICPF USA in 1997. The prayer groups have extended to different states of the country and today there are ICPF/CGPF units in Dallas (TX), Houston (TX), Philadelphia (PA), Oklahoma City (OK), Danbury (CT), Atlanta (GA), Tulsa (OK), Chicago (IL), Minneapolis (MN), Carolinas (NC and SC), Chattanooga (TN), Phoenix (AZ), Los Angeles (CA), Detroit (MI), and in the State of Virginia, New York and New Jersey. There’s also a branch in Toronto, Canada.

AWAKE CAMPS:

Awake Camps in the US started in 2001 at the Waxahachie Camp Center in Waxahachie, TX with the sole intention of enriching and mentoring the Next Generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to empower them for the Divine Purpose of God in Worldwide Missions. This is a unique camp, which has continued through the years since that first camp and has been an impetus to many youngsters to have a U-turn from their unfruitful path towards a Purpose-filled and Spirit-filled walk with the Lord. In the past years, hundreds of lives have been impacted and we are trusting in God that these camps will continue to do the Perfect work of Christ in many more. The programs are divided into all the aspects of a good
Christian life with awesome time of worship, practical teachings on real life, small group sessions, a chance to reflect and re-focus your life on Christ-centered living with excellent Bible based teachings,
tools for making decisions in life and a time and place to draw closer to Christ. At the moment there are four Awake camps that happen each year, one in the South (Dallas, Houston or Oklahoma City) , one in the North East (Philadelphia, New Jersey, New York), one in the South East (Atlanta, GA, Chattanooga, TN and the Carolinas ) and one in the South West (California and Arizona). In the year 2019, a new Awake Camp will be held in Michigan for the Michigan, Illinois and Canada regions.

IGNITE GROUPS:

IGNITE is a program developed by ICPF to help successfully navigate Middle School students to High School and College level with sufficient Bible training, Discipleship training, and Missionary vision. Hence, Ignite focuses on catching students while they are young and training them to become effective, resourceful Christians.

CAMPUS GROUPS:

The vision of ICPF since its inception has always been to reach the unreached in the College and High School campuses. That vision continues to grow in the hearts of the ICPF USA leadership. Different campus groups have been started and continue to grow. At present active Campus, groups exist at University of Houston (U of H), and in few colleges in Dallas and its suburbs. The plans are to establish more campus groups in various Universities where possible to mentor and enrich the Next Generation in the heart of the gospel.

Welcome to ICPF ‘IMPACTING THE NEXT GENERATION’

Inter-Collegiate Prayer Fellowship is an organization committed to enriching and mentoring the next generation with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and to empower them for the Divine Purpose of God in Worldwide Missions through personal and practical mentoring.

Join Hands to Support Joseph Joy

Bro. Joseph Joy is an ICPF Staff Minister and regional secretary of the Eastern Region in India. He had a well-settled job in Doha as Service Engineer but he left the job and joined ICPF to work for the Kingdom of God. He chose Calcutta as his mission field and he has been working there for past 18 years.

Recently his wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and Bro. Joseph Joy had a bad fall which caused damage to his spinal cord. They have two young children and the family is in need of our support and prayers. Hence ICPF would like to request your fervent prayers and financial support for their treatment.

Now, it is our responsibility to support this great man of God financially; hence ICPF would like to request you to do the same by following the below link.

ICPF Statement of Belief and Code of Conduct

  • We believe that the Bible is the only authentic inspired and authoritative Word of the Living God (Matt 5:15; 1 Cori 2:13; II Tim 3:16; II Pet 1-20-21).
  • We believe in one God, existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, Creator of the heavens and the earth and all that is contained therein (Duet 6:4, Matt 3:16, John 14:16, Colo 1:16-17).
  • We believe in the Virgin birth of the Lord Jesus Christ, who suffered, was crucified, resurrected and ascended into heaven and in the last days shall return in glory with the saints to establish His
  • kingdom unto eternity (Isa 53:5, Matt 23:25, I Pet 3:18, I Cor 15:3- 4, I Thes 4:16-17, II Pet 1:11).
  • We believe in the sinful state of mankind, who regenerated by the Holy Spirit through faith in Jesus Christ, attains righteousness by the grace of God unto eternal salvation (Born-again experience) and
  • witnesses the Lord by accepting water Baptism (by immersion) and being filled and led by the guidance and counsel of the Holy Spirit. (Isaiah 64:6, Romans 3:23-24, 8:9, Ephesians 2:8-10,Philippians 1:11, John 3:16).
  • We believe in the bodily resurrection of both the just and the unjust, the one to everlasting life and the other to everlasting damnation (Daniel 12:2, Mathew 25:46, and John 5:28-29, Acts 24:15).
  • We believe in the guidance of life through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, through prayer, and the Word of God and that all believers shall lead a holy and spiritual life (Ezekiel 36:27; I Corinthians3:16; Luke 11:13, John 16:13).
  • We believe that we are entitled to and shall earnestly seek the promise of the Father, the baptism in the Holy Spirit according to the command of our Lord Jesus Christ. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is an experience, which is a distinct experience from the new birth and is witnessed by the initial physical sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit of God gives utterance, and it is the physical evidence of having received His endowment of power for witnessing.
  • We believe in the sanctity of marriage and that marriage should be between one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union (Genesis 2:18-25, Malachi 2), who are both believers according to Article II Section II of the BYLAWS. We believe that God intends sexual intimacy to occur only between a man and a woman who are married to each other (1 Corinthians 6:18, 7:2-5, Hebrews 13:4).
  • We believe that God has commanded that no intimate sexual activity be engaged in outside of a marriage between a man and a woman. We believe that any form of sexual immorality (including, but not limited to, pre-marital sex, adultery, fornication, homosexual behavior, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, transgender conduct or use of pornography) is sinful and offensive to God (Matthew 15:18-20, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).
  • We believe that God hates divorce (Malachi 2:16). Divorce is contrary to the principles of marriage and its original institution by God, and was only allowed for the hardness of men's hearts (Deuteronomy 24:1, Matthew 19:3-9). The members should refrain from divorce except due to such situations as described in Matthew 19:9.
  • We believe that a divinely called and scripturally ordained ministry has been provided by our Lord for a twofold purpose: i) The evangelization of the world and ii) The edifying of the body of Christ (Mark 16:15-20; Ephesians 4:11-13)
  • We believe in being loyal to God, His Church and being good stewards of God-given talents, in Moral and spiritual purity and Glorifying God in our walk. This entails having personal integrity, mental fortitude, bearing spiritual fruits and embodying Character of Christ in personal and public life.
  • We believe in behavioral and lifestyle uprightness in our public and personal behavior. That includes avoidance of emotional outbursts, maintaining self-discipline and avoiding domination of negative forces.
  • ICPF believes in putting ourselves against bondage by abstaining from consumption of alcohol beverages, chemical substances, tobacco usage and activities such as gambling and gluttony. (John 8:32, Romans 6:14, Romans 8:2, Galatians 5:1, Proverbs 20:1, 23:20-35, 2 Corinthians 7:1, James 1:21)
  • We believe in modesty, in being modest in appearance and dress reflecting Christ as Paul admonishes in Romans 12:2 to not conform to this world.
[For a woman: If you are having to constantly pull down your skirt every time you take a step or if you choose to wear clothes that are rent, torn, super tight and homey clothing you could be giving off the wrong kind of attention at a spiritual meeting. Do not wear provocative clothing that accentuates your body to attract attention. Be modest in all you wear. Dressing nicely is a sign of importance of who you are there to glorify.
For a Man: If you choose to wear rent, torn, super tight clothing loses the purpose of coming to a spiritual meeting. You are not there to draw attention to you, but to get attention of the Lord. Be modest in all you wear. Dressing nicely is a sign of importance of who you are there to glorify.]
  • We believe in the premillennial Second Coming of Jesus Christ, the resurrection of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and their translation, together with those who are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord, is imminent and is the blessed hope of the Church. (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18; Titus 2:3)

Importance of Campus Ministry

Change the campus today and change the world tomorrow.” There isn’t a mission field in existence today poised to shake the foundations of global spirituality like the university campuses of the United States. Today’s students are future world leaders. Future doctors, lawyers, teachers, and professors – future journalists, counselors, businessmen, and businesswomen – future military officers, company executives, media professionals, and government leaders – all are found on the university campuses today.
